Ronnie Cutrone

Descriere

For Ronnie Cutrone, cartoons represent a universal visual language, with a lineage dating back to cave drawings. In these works, composed mostly of flags and quilts, Cutrone brings Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck into traditional American art genres as a gesture towards the compatibility of mass culture with a folk-art heritage.
