Candida Hofer: Louvre | Henri Loyrette

Descriere

In this elegant volume of photographs, Candida Hofer portrays the empty rooms and galleries of the Louvre on days when it was closed to the public. In 'Hofers' luminous colour photographs, the treasures of Western art enter into a silent yet eloquent dialogue with the architectural setting, the luxurious decor, the buildings past and its present.
