To The Lighthouse | Virginia Woolf

Descriere

To the Lighthouse observes the well-to-do Ramsey family as they holiday, over the years, in their summer home on the Isle of Skye. Sparked by the postponement of a jaunt to a nearby lighthouse, the novel develops into an intricate study of childhood emotions and adult relationships, of conict between the sexes and the complex nature of families. Within its delicately crafted pages are ruminations of loss, subjectivity, art, and the problem of perception. Intimate yet universal, it is a moving modernist masterpiece. ABOUT THE COVER The suitably modern cover was hand composed of real coloured paper before being photographed, adding a sense of depth and motion.
