Hawkes' Eye View: British Isles

Descriere

In this latest collection, Jason Hawkes—Britain's leading aerial photographer for more than a decade—has taken to the skies over the fields of Hampshire, the beaches of Norfolk, and the oil rigs of the North Sea with eye-popping results. Familiar parts of England, Scotland, Ireland, and Wales take on a new dimension when viewed from above, and this stunning collection of images shows landmarks as they have never been seen before. Each photograph is accompanied by informative text from award-winning travel author Mike Gerrard, and several longer articles discuss—among other topics—Britain's coastline, cathedrals and castles, as well as the Isles’ industrial heritage and literary landscapes. Beautiful and lush, this is a fascinating and original look at the famous Isles.
