Xenophon of Ephesus, An Ephesian Tale: An Intermediate Ancient Greek Reader - C. T. Hadavas

Descriere

Xenophon of Ephesus's pulp-fiction novel, An Ephesian Tale, is an excellent text for students who have completed the first year of college-level Ancient Greek or its equivalent. Its length is quite short, its syntax is straightforward, and its narrative - an adventure romance between two young ill-starred lovers (Habrocomes and Anthia) - is one of the most action-packed and enjoyable in all of Ancient Greek literature. This edition includes brief grammatical, syntactical, rhetorical, and cultural notes. Complete vocabulary is provided for each section of the text.
